The Tool Everyone Forgets
There is a tool most stampers own and almost never use. It hides at the bottom of the craft drawer, costs less than a coffee, and it is the fastest way to make one stamp perform like a whole set: the little sponge dauber.
An ink pad gives your design one color, every time. A dauber takes orders. Tap it in orange and touch it to the koi's head. Red along the body. Black on the fins. Where two dabs overlap, the colors melt into each other. Then one press, and up comes a print no single ink pad could ever give you.
The dauber inks only where you tell it to.
Reading about it is one thing. Doing it is better. Below is our koi stamp and a virtual 20 mm dauber. Tap a color, dab the fish, and watch the paper on the left drink the ink. Hold the press for a heavier dab, just like the real thing.
